A national airline moves its daily operational files on Enhanced File Transfer
An airline exchanges files with ground handling, cargo, catering, maintenance and regulators every single day, on a schedule. Net Bright implemented Globalscape Enhanced File Transfer so those exchanges are encrypted, automated and auditable instead of held together by scripts.

The challenge
Airline operations run on files that have to arrive on time: passenger and load data to ground handling, manifests to cargo, orders to catering, technical records to maintenance, and reporting to regulators. Almost none of it is optional and almost none of it can be late.
Exchanges like these tend to accumulate rather than get designed. A scheduled FTP job here, a script with a hardcoded password there, a partner who only accepts one particular protocol. It works until the person who wrote it leaves, or until an auditor asks who accessed a file and when.
What we implemented
Globalscape Enhanced File Transfer becomes the single place those exchanges happen. It speaks the protocols partners actually use — SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS and AS2 — so each counterparty keeps working the way it already does while the airline stops maintaining a different mechanism for each one.
The Advanced Workflow Engine replaces the hand-written scripts: transfers run on a schedule or on an event, retry when a partner is unreachable, and raise an alert when a file that should have arrived has not. The DMZ Gateway keeps credentials and data out of the perimeter network, so no inbound connection reaches the internal EFT server directly.
Every transfer is logged with who, what, when and where — which is the part that turns an audit question from an investigation into a report.
The result
File exchange stops being something individuals hold in their heads. New partners are onboarded as configuration rather than as a new script, and a failed transfer is noticed by the system before it is noticed by operations.
Net Bright supplied, implemented and supports the platform, so the same team that designed the workflows is the one that answers when a partner changes an endpoint.
